The Pabna Photovoltaic General Contracting Project in Bangladesh has successfully connected to the grid for power generation

On July 30, 2025, with the stable integration of the last group of photovoltaic arrays into the power grid, the Bangladesh Pabuna 64MW photovoltaic power station project (72.6MW on the AC side and 79.1MWp on the DC side) jointly constructed by Fujian Institute successfully achieved full capacity grid connected power generation, marking the successful completion of the second phase of Bangladesh's largest new energy project group - the Bangladesh 500MW new energy total installed capacity power generation project group. This important milestone not only once again demonstrates the strength of Chinese new energy enterprises in the field of large-scale photovoltaic projects overseas, but also injects a continuous stream of "solar energy kinetic energy" into the development of clean energy in Bangladesh. At this point, following the 68MW photovoltaic project in Bangladesh's Xilaganjie, Fujian Institute has built a cumulative photovoltaic installed capacity of over 164.4MWp in Bangladesh, setting a new high for the installed capacity of photovoltaic power stations constructed by Chinese enterprises within the country.

Since the start of the Pabuna project, the project has faced a series of difficult challenges such as political turmoil, complex public security at the project site, geological conditions of quicksand, intertwining of high temperatures and rainy seasons, complex cross-border logistics transportation, intensive cross operation of multiple subcontracting teams in Bangladesh, and language communication barriers. Team members work tirelessly with other teams, always adhering to the management principle of "quality first, safety first, and controllable construction period", and fighting day and night on the front line of construction. All the builders have fulfilled their promises to the owners with sweat and responsibility, ensuring that the project is connected to the grid with high quality and efficiency as scheduled.

The project team has won unanimous praise from the owners and consortium units, and officials from local energy departments have also given high praise. They believe that the project not only injects green energy into Bangladesh's power supply system, but also improves the local infrastructure level and creates more job opportunities, fully demonstrating the high standards and reliability of China's solutions in overseas energy cooperation. It is worth mentioning that the Bangladesh Hilaganje PV EPC project, which was previously in the charge of the general contracting team of Fujian Institute, has been featured in the People's Daily as a representative of the "Green the Belt and Road" innovation case. The general contracting team of the Pabna Photovoltaic Project is the core backbone who once led the first phase of the Xilaganjie Photovoltaic Project. The team fully draws on and applies the successful experience of the first phase project to help promote the Pabuna project. The successful grid connection of the Pabuna photovoltaic power station is not only a continuation of the green mission, but also an important symbol of China Bangladesh energy cooperation moving towards a deeper level.

In the future, Fujian Institute will continue to uphold the professional, efficient, and pragmatic project management philosophy, and help more clean energy projects take root and shine on the land of South Asia. Forging eternal sunshine into the key to development, the dream of 'Golden Bengal' shines into reality through green energy.
