The Saudi Arabia Al Shubah Photovoltaic Power Station Project has officially entered the operational phase
On October 15th and 16th local time, the Saudi Arabia Al Shubah 2.6GW photovoltaic power station project, jointly constructed by China Energy Engineering International Group, Guangdong Thermal Power and Northwest Institute, completed the reverse transmission and first grid connected power generation of 2GW in ASB2 area, marking the official entry into operation of the project and laying a solid foundation for the next step of full capacity grid connected power generation.
Faced with the urgent and complex situation of the large-scale power station's reverse power transmission and grid connection work, the project department responded quickly and organized mobilization meetings and deployment meetings multiple times. Through early planning and simulation, resources from all parties were effectively integrated to achieve efficient collaboration. Each participating unit strictly controls safety and quality, adheres to the working principle of "safety first", and successfully completes the acceptance and commissioning of the main equipment and ancillary systems through a series of measures, and obtains the power transmission permit to ensure the success of this grid connected power generation.
Next, the project department will maintain high morale and rigorous work attitude, fully promote the full capacity grid connected power generation of the power station, and steadily advance the smooth handover of the project.
The Saudi Arabia Al Shubah 2.6GW photovoltaic project includes two sub projects, ASB1 and ASB2, and is the largest single photovoltaic power station under construction overseas. When the project is fully completed, it will become an important milestone for China Saudi Arabia enterprises to promote the "2030 Vision" of Saudi Arabia, another important achievement of the deep connection between the "the Belt and Road" initiative and Saudi Arabia's national development strategy, and will contribute China's strength to the vigorous development of the global new energy industry.
