Zimbabwe's largest tracking photovoltaic power station officially put into operation
On September 27th, the 23 MW Nyabira photovoltaic project in Zimbabwe, constructed by the 11th Hydropower Bureau, was successfully connected to the grid for power generation, marking the official start of operation of Zimbabwe's largest tracked photovoltaic power station.
During the construction process, the project department always adhered to high standards and strict requirements, and carried out comprehensive and multi-dimensional strict control over various aspects such as design, procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning. At the same time, the project department optimized the team personnel structure, strictly implemented the "three inspection system", and completed the construction tasks with high quality, safety, and efficiency, which was unanimously recognized by the owner and supervisor.
The project is located in the Nyabira area, 33 kilometers towards Chinoi in Harare, Zimbabwe. It is the first photovoltaic project in Zimbabwe to use a flat single axis tracking bracket. The successful grid connection for power generation this time will effectively solve the electricity demand in the surrounding areas of Harare, promote local employment, and cultivate a large number of engineers who master advanced photovoltaic technology, injecting new vitality into the development of Zimbabwe's new energy sector.
